A window overlooking the crater and the two small islands, viewed from the volcanic cliffs formed after the cataclysmic eruption which left the caldera, as its legacy, in all its splendor, to gaze, to dream.
Island Greece and Old Oia Houses
Renovated in 1990, from caves originally built about 1400 and situated adjacent to the ‘castle’ Old Oia Houses are within the earliest inhabited part of the village. A place that floats through time, between the last and the next volcanic eruption.
Situated a few minutes walk from the main pedestrian street Old Oia Houses are both central but quiet. They are traditionally and comfortably furnished with well-equipped kitchen areas, fully air-conditioned and satellite television. Each house sleeps between 2 and 4 people. They all have private terraces overlooking the caldera. Each unit is serviced every day.
