Renovated in 1990, from caves originally built about 1400 and situated adjacent to the ‘castle’ Old Oia Houses are within the earliest inhabited part of the village. A place that floats through time, between the last and the next volcanic eruption.
Situated a few minutes walk from the main pedestrian street Old Oia Houses are both central but quiet. They are traditionally and comfortably furnished with well-equipped kitchen areas, fully air-conditioned and satellite television. Each house sleeps between 2 and 4 people. They all have private terraces overlooking the caldera. Each unit is serviced every day.
Oia village offers a range of shops, restaurants and travel agencies. There is a medical center and pharmacy. Car and bike hire and a spa. There are 2 ATM machine and a public bus between the village and the main town as well as a good taxi service.
